Spektakl AST na Międzynarodowym Festiwalu Teatralnym w Sybinie | 21-30.06.2024

Hasłem przewodnim tegorocznego festiwalu była Przyjaźń/Friendship. Szczególne jej znaczenie dla relacji polsko-rumuńskich podkreśliła obecność podczas ceremonii otwarcia polskiej ministry kultury i dziedzictwa narodowego Hanny Wróblewskiej oraz rumuńskiej ministry kultury Raluci Turcan, które wspólnie ogłosiły rozpoczęcie Sezonu Kulturalnego Polska-Rumunia.

Festiwal w Sybinie jest jednym z najważniejszych festiwali teatralnych i sztuk scenicznych na świecie i trzecim co do wielkości po Festiwalu w Awinionie i Międzynarodowym Festiwalu w Edynburgu. Program festiwalu obejmuje około 550 wydarzeń, w tym szeroką gamę spektakli z gośćmi z ponad 70 krajów. Istotną częścią festiwalu jest nurt uniwersytecki (Festivalul Universităților de Teatru și Management Cultural Sibiu), do którego zapraszane są uczelnie artystyczne z całego świata. Wśród 22 pokazów znalazły się m.in. spektakle z Wielkiej Brytanii, USA, Izraela, Niemiec, Austrii. Spektakl Akademii Sztuk Teatralnych w Krakowie został zaprezentowany na scenie Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu 28 czerwca.

„Pies” jest przedstawieniem, które zyskało już uznanie w kraju i poza granicami. Spektakl zdobył nagrodę główną Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego podczas 13. Forum Młodej Reżyserii. Po raz pierwszy międzynarodowej widowni został zaprezentowany w maju podczas Tbilisi International Student Theater Festival, gdzie Michał Badeński (IV r. WA) otrzymał nagrodę za najlepszą rolę męską. Spektakl jest opowieścią o młodej parze mierzącej się z trudnościami małżeńskimi, której ucieka pies. W sytuacji kryzysowej bohaterowie zostają wystawieni na próbę. Chcąc odnaleźć psa, zwracają się o pomoc do kobiety, która twierdzi, że potrafi nawiązywać telepatyczny kontakt ze zwierzętami. Jej zdolności przydadzą się nie tylko podczas poszukiwań zaginionego zwierzęcia…„Pies” to próba zagłębienia się w relacje międzyludzkie i międzygatunkowe z obu perspektyw. To spojrzenie na różne metody komunikacji reprezentowane przez każdą z postaci.

The Sibiu International Theater Festival (FITS) took place from 21 to 30 June. At the invitation of the festival’s organisers, the performance ‘Pies’, directed by Barbara Bendyk, a third-year student of Faculty of Directing and Drama, was presented. The event was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Polish Institute in Bucharest.

The motto of this year’s festival was Friendship. Its special importance for Polish-Romanian relations was underlined by the presence at the opening ceremony of the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Hanna Wroblewska, and the Romanian Minister of Culture, Raluca Turcan, who jointly announced the start of the Poland-Romania Cultural Season. The Sibiu Festival is one of the most important theatre and performing arts festivals in the world and the third largest after the Avignon Festival and the Edinburgh International Festival.

An important part of the festival is the university strand, which invites art schools from all over the world. The 22 shows include performances from the UK, USA, Israel, Germany, Austria, among others. The performance of the Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow „PIES” has been presented on the stage of Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu on 28 June.

The performance is already well-known to audiences at home and abroad. The play won the main prize of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage at the 13th Young Directors' Forum. It was presented to an international audience for the first time in May at the Tbilisi International Student Theater Festival in Georgia, where Michal Badenski received the award for best male role.

The performance is the story of a young couple facing marital difficulties, whose dog runs away. In a crisis situation, the characters are put to the test. To find the dog, they turn to a woman who claims to be able to make telepathic contact with animals. Her abilities will come in handy not only during the search for the missing animal … „Dog” is an attempt to delve into human and inter-species relationships from both perspectives. It is a look at the different methods of communication represented by each character.
